At the end of 2017, we introduced a great new integration with SumUp - a leader in the card reader and online payment market. With SumUp, you can easily accept credit card, debit card, contactless, and online payments on the spot, and all will be automatically imported to your Debitoor invoicing software account.
Originally created during our Team Days hackathon, the integration has been improved and developed to become a seamless function between SumUp and Debitoor.
Now you can use SumUp and Debitoor on your iPhone, easily establishing the connection from your Debitoor iOS app in seconds and allowing customers to pay instantly, directly via SumUp.
How the integration works
If you’ve already connected to SumUp through your Debitoor account on the web, you do not need to go through the process again from the mobile app. By tapping the menu button (bottom right, consisting of nine dots in a square shape), and then tapping the SumUp button, you will see a message that confirms the connection in your mobile app as well.
Keep in mind that you need to allow access to your location in order for the SumUp integration to work correctly.

Once the connection has been confirmed, you’re ready to start invoicing and seeing payments instantly imported from your SumUp account. Open an unpaid invoice and tap ‘+ Enter Payment’, you’ll then see an option to ‘Pay with SumUp’ or ‘Enter Payment’. The enter payment option will take you to choose from your Cash or bank accounts.
If you choose the ‘Pay with SumUp’ option, the app will immediately detect your card reader and allow your customer to pay by credit or debit card, or contactless. Right there, as you watch, your invoice will be marked as ‘Paid’.
