Your job is done. You have given the customer exactly what he wants and you’re feeling pretty good about yourself.
The professionalism and high standards of your work might speak for itself, but don’t forget about the last phase:
Send an invoice with a sophisticated, gorgeous and professional look as the icing on the cake (the cake being your fine work, of course).
The invoice is usually the last thing your customer sees of your work. By creating a document that represents the essence of your business, you can make a great and unexpected impression and make sure that your customer keeps coming back for more.
Imagine, if you will, that you just hired someone to write your website. Then your copywriter sends you the following invoice:
This invoice will probably stand out among the other invoices you receive from your suppliers, right?
Mads, one of our graphic designers, wanted to share his thoughts on how to best take advantage of the improved Invoice design feature for Debitoor:
"I think the best advice I can give a company about the design of their invoices, and their visual identity in general, is that it should speak intentionally about who they are as a company. This is true for everything a company makes, from their products to their invoices, to the logo and their choice of colours.
A visual identity has to be memorable and not generic.”
Personalize your invoices right now
By reading your comments and suggestions we learned that your company’s image is becoming increasingly more important, which is exactly why great-looking invoices are an essential part of your business.

You don't have to be a graphic designer
The invoice examples in this article have been created by yours truly, and I can assure you that I have no knowledge of graphic design whatsoever.
In addition to the simple Debitoor designer, you can take advantage of several free programs online:
- Find and download free patterns and logos from The Pattern Library
- Never mind Photoshop. You can easily edit logos and header images for free at Paint.NET
Keep in mind that the Invoice Designer is a Premium and Premium Plus function. If you are a free user you can try out different designs but not apply them to the final documents.
