1. How much does Debitoor cost?

Something we’re asked on a regular basis is how much it costs to use Debitoor. The price you’ll pay to use Debitoor depends on several different factors: the plan you choose, whether you pay monthly or yearly, and whether or not you need to pay VAT.

If you check out our pricing page, you’ll see that we offer four different plans, which range from £4 a month for our smallest plan to £20 a month for our largest plan. The prices listed on this page exclude VAT, and if you decide to pay yearly, you’ll end up paying less than if you pay monthly.

2. Which plan is right for me?

We know that our users have different needs. While some businesses might send several invoices each day, some might only issue a couple of invoices a month. And while some businesses need to report their VAT throughout the year, not every business is VAT-registered.

To make sure that you aren’t paying for more features than you need, we offer four different plans: XS, S, M, and L. The plan you choose determines how many invoices you can send, how many people can use your account, and which extra features you get access to.

Without understanding exactly what your business does and how it’s managed, it’s difficult for us to say exactly which plan is right for your business. But there are a few things you can think about to help you pick the right plan.

You should consider how many invoices and expenses you'll need to create, which reports you might need to generate, and how many people will need access to your account.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that if you need more invoices or additional features at a later date, you can always upgrade to a bigger plan – you’ll only be charged the difference!

4. Can I use Debitoor on more than one device?

Running a business can keep you on the go, and it’s important that you can access the tools you need anywhere, anytime. That’s why Debitoor is available as both an online web app and a mobile invoicing app.

To use Debitoor on more than one device, you don’t need an additional account – just enter your existing login details. Because Debitoor runs in the cloud, your data is backed-up remotely rather than on a hard-drive. This means that you can access your data from any device, and when you create a new invoice, quote, or expenses, it will sync across all of your devices.

Downloading the Debitoor iOS app or Debitoor Android app is completely free of charge, and you won’t pay extra fees for using Debitoor on more than one device.

4. Is Debitoor secure?

Whenever you use an online service, you want to be certain that your data is being handled properly. And this is a particularly big concern when using a program to manage your finances.

From using industry-leading encryption methods to employing extensive logging services and round-the-clock monitoring, we take several different measures to ensure that Debitoor is secure.

5. Do I need to be an accounting expert to use Debitoor?

Managing a company’s finances can be a daunting task if you don’t have a background in bookkeeping or accounting. But we believe that every freelancer and small business owner should be able to handle the day-to-day tasks involved with invoicing and accounting, and our mission is to empower small business owners to take charge of their finances.

To support this mission, we’ve built our software specifically for people who aren’t experts in accounting. Our user interface is designed to be simple, straight-forward, and initiative, and we offer online support to answer any questions you might have.

We still recommend that you consult with an accountant on a regular basis, particularly when it comes to key financial decisions and specific accounting practices. You can also invite your accountant to collaborate in your account, so that you can work together to keep on top of your finances.
